About Us

The annual Summer Thunder Cruise-In is brought to you by the Western Loudoun Community Volunteers, a non-profit organization working to benefit local charities and the local community in Loudoun County, Virginia.  Our Annual Summer Thunder Cruise-In is held at Franklin Park in Purcellville, VA. Car fanatics of all ages, who love all different types of cars, bring their best to the Cruise-In! Car buffs, gear head, racing fans and anyone who enjoys driving their special car can enjoy a fun-filled, idea-inspiring, story-swapping, show and tell kind of day!

Since 2003, Summer Thunder Cruise-In has raised funds to help support the educational efforts of its schools by purchasing equipment for C. S. Monroe Technology’s Automotive Program as well as providing scholarships to deserving students.

In 2008, Summer Thunder Cruise-In proudly raised funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, serving campers with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses ranging from 7 to 15 years old.  The summer programs are week-long sessions, each attended by up to 125 children with similar medical conditions.  The Victory Junction Gang will benefit from the proceeds of future Summer Thunder Cruise-Ins!

Starting in 2010, Summer Thunder Cruise-In raised funds for the C. S. Monroe Technology’s Automotive Program and continues to provide support to the local community by supporting the Tree of Life Food Pantry in Purcellville, VA, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department, the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Auxiliary, Franklin Park and Hamilton Elementary School.

We invite you to join us for a fun-filled event every year as we continue to help and promote our local community and schools.
